The place was reasonably priced. The hotel was fairly clean and had very amiable staff specially the night shift. Got neat rooms that were cleaned on a daily basis. This was a favourable and ideal location adjacent to the nearest MRT, public transport links to the airport and city and many local restaurants. It also was in a seedy area.

The standard room was spotlessly clean and individual with good working air con as well as furniture dating back to the 70's.

I recently stayed at Hotel 81 in Singapore for a few days and had a fantastic experience. The hotel staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring that I got a smoke-free room on a quiet floor as per my request. One of the highlights of my stay was the powerful shower in my room, which was a refreshing treat after a long day out. I also appreciated being able to set the temperature to "low," coming back to a cool and comfortable room. It was a great relief, especially in Singapore's hot weather. The mini refrigerator in the room was a nice bonus as well. The location of the hotel was excellent, surrounded by a variety of food stores, including a 24-hour Malay food store with many options. As a single lady in my 40s, I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The hotel provided a safe and pleasant environment, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
